Having you attorney present for your arraignment is paramount to the start of a vigorous defense. At your arraignment the Judge or Magistrate will set a bond(personal, cash, surety etc) and bond conditions.(Drug/Alcohol testing/GPS Tether Etc) Having counsel with you at your arraignment can make a huge impact on the amount of the bond as well as the conditions being imposed. It is also the first opportunity for your attorney to hear the formal charges and start preparing your defense. No one should be arraigned without counsel.
